This 5K run/walk starts and finishes at the parking lot and winds through the woods along wildflower studded trails. Steep hills and rough terrain is involved but you can handle it!  Bring a friend, but leave Fido at home, pets are not allowed at BNC – they scare our wildlife! America250 Heritage Tree Planting

A ceremonial tree planting will take root in the Miami County Courthouse Plaza as part of the Heritage Trees: Planting History program under America 250-Ohio, the official state commission responsible for spearheading Ohio's celebrations and commemorations around America’s semiquincentennial in 2026. Throughout 2025 and 2026, Heritage Trees will be planted in all 88 of Ohio’s counties. In Miami County the tree will be planted by the Miami County Courthouse Plaza on April 24, 2026 at 1:00 p.m.. The Courthouse was chosen as the site for the Heritage Tree because the Courthouse has been a symbol of history, justice and longevity
