Today’s artists have put a modern spin on famous Norman Rockwell Paintings from the past and the results will be on display at the Piqua Public Library. The Piqua Arts Council is partnering with the library for the exhibition which will be held in the library’s second floor gallery at 116 W. High St., March 1 through April 19 during regular library hours. There will be a dessert reception for the show on Thursday, Feb. 28 from 6 to 8:30pm.

Amanda Roberts is making the hammered dulcimer a popular instrument in the Miami Valley! She won first place in the 2017 National Hammer Dulcimer Championship. She is sought after in local coffee shops as well as local universities and orchestras. She performs with Wright State University Orchestra, University of Dayton and also makes appearances with the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra. She arranges music for cello and hammered dulcimer and performs on dulcimer at local festivals, markets, and private events.
