The Strawberry Festival is back once again for 2023! The Strawberry Classic 5k and 10k runs, and the Strawberry Shortcake 1k are great events on the Sunday morning of the festival. After the race, runners are rewarded with a well-earned Strawberry donut, one of the staples of the festival. All 5k and 10k runners receive a custom finisher's medal and all shortcake runners earn a ribbon! This 3-day biplane frenzy will be an aviation event you don't want to miss. The goal to gather 100 WACOs for the 100th Anniversary will take place on WACO Field. WACO biplane rides, a Swing Dance, historic reenactments, kids activities, fly-overs, car shows, food trucks, and more! Each day offers something new. Come celebrate September 15th-17th! The public events will kick off at WACO Field Friday at 9 am, with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 3 pm, prior to an evening car show featuring pre-war vehicles. The Museum of Troy History and Hayner Distilling are presenting the History of Hayner Distilling with Walking Tour and Tasting on Saturday October 14, 2023 from 1 - 4 pm. Tickets to the fundraising event are $25 and must be purchased from Eventbrite. This is a fundraising event for the museum and 100% of the sales go to the Museum of Troy History. The event begins in the St. Patrick Soup Kitchen at 25 N. Mulberry Street in Troy.
