The Strawberry Festival is back once again for 2023! The Strawberry Classic 5k and 10k runs, and the Strawberry Shortcake 1k are great events on the Sunday morning of the festival. Calling all paddlers! Everyone is invited to the 2023 GREAT Float - a celebration of the Great Miami River. Join us on a 5-mile paddle in Miami County with over 100 participants in canoes, kayaks, and other human-powered craft. The GREAT Float is scheduled for Thursday, June 29 from 2 to 5 pm. Paddlers will also enjoy an after-party at Treasure Island in Troy. Registration is required. Participants can rent a kayak, paddle and life jacket for $50, or bring your own kayak or canoe for $15. The City of Troy is pleased to announce that the Air Force Band of Flight will perform at Treasure Island Park on August 27 at 7 p.m. This lively, free concert brings a mix of classic and new pop and rock music to Treasure Island, and is a great way to wrap up our summer concert season. The United States Air Force Band of Flight, stationed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. They support military ceremonies and events year-round, and reach out to the communities around WPAFB by performing at local schools, fairs, and community events.
