Declaration of Independence: Lesser Known Signers

Don't miss this interesting America 250 event at YWCA Piqua where we will learn about the lesser-known signers of the Declaration of Independence. Of the 56 delegates who signed America's historical document, most people can probably only name maybe five of those who signed the Declaration of Independence. Join us to hear Steven J. Kaplan, SAR 2025 President, speak about the lesser known signers and the significant things they brought to the table on Nov.11, beginning at 11 a.m. Then promptly at noon, lunch will be served for only $8 at YWCA Piqua, located at 418 N. Wayne St., Piqua.

Before the Holiday Horse Parade, join us downtown for the lighting of the holiday decorations.This year’s downtown decorations have been carefully curated to bring a festive feeling to our unique and historic downtown.Gather around the Christmas Tree as we count down to Piqua’s Magical Illumination.The lighting may be viewed from McCulloch Square and in front of the Fort Piqua Plaza entrance (308 N. Main Street)Grab a bite to eat from one of our fabulous downtown restaurants or one of these fine food trucks before the lighting, then stay for the famous Downtown Holiday Horse Parade!
