    On Monday, April 8, 2024, Ohio residents and visitors will be able to experience something that won’t happen in Ohio again until 2099 – a total solar eclipse. A total solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth, completely blocking the Sun.   • WACO 100th Anniversary

     In 1923, WACO Aircraft moved to Troy from Medina, OH. This was the Golden Age of Aviation. After moving to Troy, WACO became the number one manufacturer of civil aircraft in the United States and remained in that spot until shortly before World War II.  During WWII WACO employed 3,000 people and was the largest employer in a five-county area.
