Ohio Moves in Miami County

April 1, 2026

In honor of America’s 250th birthday, America 250 Ohio has set monthly themes to help celebrate the many accomplishments of Ohioans and everything Ohio has contributed to the country. April’s theme is Ohio Moves: Transportation, and Miami County has quite the variety of transportation history.

WACO Air Museum

The WACO Aircraft Company was the largest manufacturer of civil aircraft in the country in the late 1920’s and early 30’s and this museum is dedicated to the plant and the employees that made it great. Some of what you will see at the museum includes 2 full aircrafts and memorabilia, WACO simulator to practice your aviation skills, display of Hartzell propellers, and much more!

Bradford Railroad Museum

Bradford Ohio was once a booming railroad town and the Bradford Railroad Museum and BF Tower preserve and tell that history. They’re dedicated to making the museum a leading railroad heritage tourism spot, where visitors can discover our community’s rich history through engaging exhibits and experiences. They are open Saturday and the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month.
Johnston Farm and Indian Agency

This Ohio Historical Site tells the story of the Miami Erie Canal and the life of Colonel John Johnston who immigrated with his family to America in 1786. Stand on his land and see how life was in the early 1800s when he lived there with a large family as a working farmer, a Federal Indian Agent, and as a community leader who facilitated the building of the Miami-Erie canal. During your visit, ride the mule-drawn replica of an 1840’s canal boat with the costumed crew on a restored mile-long segment of the Miami-Erie Canal

Halderman Museum Barn

Tipp City native Gale Halderman was the designer of the original Ford Mustang. After retiring from Ford he moved back to Tipp City and turned the family farm into a small museum of his and friends collection and memorabilia. This museum does not have regular hours and is by appointment only, schedule your tour today!
