Ohio Grows in Miami County
October 1, 2026
In honor of America’s 250th birthday, America 250 Ohio has set monthly themes to help celebrate the many accomplishments of Ohioans and everything Ohio has contributed to the country. May’s theme is Ohio Grows: Food & Farms. Miami County has a rich history of agriculture and many great places to get farm fresh local goods throughout the county.
Harens Market

Located in downtown Troy, Haren’s Market combines the feel of a neighborhood butcher shop with a local grocery. Shop the meat counter, deli, and selection of locally sourced products to find ingredients for everything from a backyard cookout to Sunday dinner.
Fulton Farms

Fulton Farms is located in a 100 year old bar and has been a local favorite for over 70 years. Plan your visit for any time of the year and you are sure to find something you’ll enjoy. From u-pick strawberries and pumpkins to fresh sweet corn, Spring flowers and u-cut Christmas Trees, there’s something for every season.
Bowman Landes

Family owned and operated for four generations, Bowman and Landes raises free range gourmet turkeys. Their 2,200 acre farm, just outside of Miami County, let the turkeys roam in the open air and sunshine. Check out their store and peruse their products and deli with fresh meats, cheeses, and salads.
Farmers Markets
One of the best ways to discover what’s growing and being made in Miami County is a trip to a local farmers market.
The Cherry Street Local Farmers Market in downtown Troy brings together farmers, growers and makers on Saturday mornings during the summer season (through September). Shop for fresh produce, locally raised meat, artisan cheese, breads, baked goods, honey, maple syrup and more.
In downtown Piqua, the Piqua Community Farmers Market offers another opportunity to meet local producers and fill your market bag with seasonal produce, baked goods and other locally made products on Thursday afternoons during market season.
