WGI Sport of the Arts Percussion World Championships

WGI Sport of the Arts is the world's premier organization producing indoor color guard, percussion ensemble, and winds competitions. It is called the Sport of the Arts because it brings music to life through performance in a competitive format.  Competition WGI uses a competition-based approach for organizing events in order to showcase youth activities in pursuit of high standards of achievement. Events include over 60 Regionals and Power Regionals, which lead to the three-day World Championships that evaluate more than 350 guards, 250 percussion ensembles, and 40 winds groups.

All aviation lectures are free and open to the public. Each are scheduled to last one hour, beginning at 7:00pm, with questions to follow. The lecture is held in the Willis Wing of the WACO Air Museum. Doors open at 6:30pm. Donations to the WACO Air Museum are gratefully accepted. All lectures are sponsored in part by Collins Aerospace. Lost Creek Reserve Saturday, April 17th, 2026 12 - 5 p.m. We hope you will join us for our annual Hug the Earth Festival at Lost Creek Reserve! The fun begins at noon when you can sing and dance with the Banana Slug String Band as they perform their popular songs like “Dirt Made My Lunch” and “Water Cycle Boogie.” Also beginning at noon continue the fun with outdoor adventures

Strawberry Jam - Hometown Celebration Let's Celebrate Troy, Ohio! Join us on Friday, June 5th for the Hometown Celebration of everything strawberry! When: 4:45 - 9:00 pm Where: Downtown Troy The evening will kick off with a ribbon cutting celebration at 4:45pm, followed by the dying of the fountain. There will be a Concert on Prouty Plaza from 6:00pm-9:00pm. Downtown Restaurants & Boutiques may have adjusted hours, please follow their pages for more information.
