Juneteenth Celebration in Troy

Troy, Ohio celebrates its fifth Juneteenth celebration this year on Saturday, June 21 at McKaig Race Park beginning at 3:30 pm. The Juneteenth Opening concert will be at Richards Chapel at 831 McKaig Ave. on Friday, June 20. A special reception will begin at 5:30 pm for an art exhibition by Troy City School students called, “Before, During, After…Historical Influence of African and African American music on United States history.” It will be curated by the outstanding art instructors at the Troy City Schools. Civil War Concert and History Day

Troy Area Historical Organizations to Hold Civil War Concert and History Day Donations to benefit the Overfield Tavern Museum TROY, Ohio – Troy area historical organizations are collaborating to host a Civil War Concert and History Day on Saturday, August 16, 2025. This free, family-friendly event will begin with a ceremony at 11 am to dedicate a new state historical marker commemorating Ohio’s Black Civil War soldiers. The marker and ceremony, sponsored by the City of Troy’s Human Relations Commission, will take place at Soldier’s Circle at Riverside Cemetery in Troy. Hometown Halloween

Join Troy Main Street and the Troy Noon Optimists Club for the annual Hometown Halloween Event! Hometown Halloween will kick-off at the Courthouse Plaza with the Costume Contest judging beginning promptly at 9:00 AM. Contestants should arrive between 8:30AM-8:45AM. After the judging takes place, participants can walk through over 25 Downtown Troy businesses for Trick or Treating from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM. Look for an orange sign on their door/window indicating if they are participating.
