August Music in the Streets

Driving Force Band- Prouty Plaza, Troy

August 2nd @ 7:30pm

The Driving Force Band is a classic rock and party band comprised of seasoned musicians playing the best music of the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s. You can expect to hear some Journey, Styx, and anything from the Eagles to Prince, even Keith Urban. Bring a lawn chair, grab some dinner, a beverage or ice cream from one of the great Downtown Troy restaurants and enjoy a great night of music.

Turn to Stone- Treasure Island, Troy

August 3rd @ 7:30pm

Bring a chair and enjoy this amazing free concert at Treasure Island Park! Experience the nostalgia of a legendary rock band as Turn to Stone captures the magic of a 1970’s ELO performance with a live string section and fantastic light show. You will instantly recognize classics such as “Don’t Bring Me Down,” “Sweet Talkin’ Woman,” and “Mr. Blue Sky.”

The Deron Bell Smooth Jazz Band- Prouty Plaza, Troy

August 9th @ 7:30pm

The Deron Bell Smooth Jazz Band will perform the final concert of an exceptional Fridays on Prouty Concert series in Troy, Ohio. This outstanding band features a full rhythm section made up of drums, electronic percussion, bass, as well as electric guitar, two keyboard players, saxophone, flute and some amazing vocalists bringing a new level to what you know about smooth, funky jazz. The concert is free, no reservations are required but be sure to bring a lawn chair. A dance floor will be installed for this special night for all those who just can’t sit still when jazz is in the air.

Rock the Hill- Community Park, West Milton

August 17th @ 5:00pm

Bring your lawn chairs and blankets for this free concert in West Milton! The night features bands such as Shot of Whiskey and Stranger! The event also includes kids zone, beer and wine garden, food trucks, and more.

Donut Jam Featuring Zack Attack- Downtown Troy

August 23rd @ 5:00pm

Jam out before the Tour De Donut with Zack Attack! The U.S. Air Force Band of Flight is starting the night off at 5pm followed by Zack Attack at 7:30pm. Come enjoy great music, donuts, beer, and fun activities.

Tippalooza- Downtown Tipp City 

August 31st @ 5:00pm

Tippapalooza is an annual music festival celebrating local music and benefiting charities in and around Tipp City, Ohio. held in downtown Tipp City. Enjoy music from The New Old Fashioned, Tyler Cochran Trio, Freya’s Felines, Colin Riachards and Spare Change. Admission: $10 in advance/$15 at door.
