Miami County Ohio has THREE excellent distilleries featured on this trail.
A.M. Scott Distillery
A. M. Scott Distillery is a hidden gem right in the heart of Troy, Ohio. This vibrant distillery crafts exceptional spirits that reflect the rich history and soul of the area. With a dedication to traditional distilling techniques and the use of locally sourced ingredients, A. M. Scott Distillery creates a range of high-quality spirits that elevate any occasion. Their expertly crafted libations cater to all taste preferences, from smooth bourbons and whiskeys to refreshing gins and vodkas. The distillery’s inviting tasting room allows guests to sample these exceptional spirits, learn about the distilling process, and experience the passion behind each bottle.
Hayner Distilling & Importing Inc
Welcome to Hayner Distilling at 619 Lincoln Ave in Troy.
Hayner began in 1866 in Troy, Ohio. By 1920 Hayner was one of the largest distilleries in Ohio and the largest mail order whiskey business in the country. But, like all distilleries, Hayner Distilling closed in 1920 with prohibition. 100 years later, Hayner Distilling has been reborn! From a few surviving bottles we analyzed the original whiskey and working with Bardstown Bourbon Company created a blend complementary to the original Hayner.
Indian Creek Distillery
Indian Creek Distillery is Ohio’s oldest historic distillery and home to award-winning frontier whiskeys that are hand-crafted one bottle at a time in the oldest active stills in the United States. Indian Creek Distillery represents important whiskey history of early American farm distillation: past, present and future.
Located in the rolling hills of southern Miami County, this charming old farm has been in the Staley family (7 generations) for over 200 years and is the only family-owned historic farm distillery in the United States using the old-fashioned double copper distilling method.
All Ohio Distillery Trail destination distilleries are members of the Ohio Distillers Guild, a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing craft distillation in Ohio through education and legislation. Learn more at www.ohiodistillerguild.org.
