Miami County Visitors Bureau Accepting Tourism Grant Applications for America250 Projects
July 8, 2025
The United States is celebrating its 250th birthday in 2026. Miami County is excited to be an America250-Ohio community and be celebrating this milestone with so many other counties from across the state.
The Miami County Visitors & Convention Bureau (MCVCB) is now accepting tourism grant applications for America250 projects and events. Anyone involved in America250 activity in Miami County may apply for matching funds of up to $5,000.
The purpose of the Miami County Tourism Grant Program is to help develop or bolster destination assets and the visitor experience. The goal of this tourism grant cycle is to drive visitation, overnight stays, and increased visitor spending to area communities, to support and encourage collaboration within Miami County, and to assist local and regional organizations in need of financial assistance for projects associated with America250.
There will be $35,000 in grant funds available to be used by December 31, 2026. These funds may be used for but are not limited to, new or expanded projects and events that relate to America250 and help elevate the Miami County experience, marketing and promotional opportunities associated with promoting America250 activities and events, and enhancements to attractions and museums such as programming, art installations, interactive exhibits, and hands-on experiences. Tourism grant dollars may not represent more than 50% of the total project costs, and priority will be given to first-time projects.
“Miami County is proud of its history and heritage and the people who have impacted its forward progress, and we are excited to celebrate America250,” said Leiann Stewart, executive director. “Over the next year and a half, Miami County communities, organizations and businesses will be sharing stories of the events, people and places who have impacted Ohio and the country during the American Revolutionary War and beyond. We hope this program can help our local communities tell their story.”
