October 8, 2026
The air is getting cooler and the leaves are starting to change colors, fall is finally here in Miami County. Here are some prime spots through the Miami County Park District for fall leaf peeping.
Maple Ridge and Stillwater Prairie Reserve

The suspension bridge connecting Maple Ridge and Stillwater Prairie Reserve is a perfect place for leaf peeping. This bridge connects two Miami County Parks and miles of hiking trails with beautiful trees with fall colors.

Charleston Falls embraces every season, from frozen flowing falls in the winter to a colorful foliage hike in the fall and everything in between. Explore over 216 acres of prairie and forests, the perfect place to hike and view wildlife this fall.

Hobart Urban Nature Preserve has just over 2 miles of trail and over 80 acres of land. This is a fantastic place to unwind through leaf peeping, bird-watching, taking leisurely walks, and observing nature. The unique welded sculptures, donated from the collection of the Hobart Welding Institute, make for great fall photos.

Amidst the tree-lined lanes and colorful foliage at Lost Creek Reserve, the Miami County Park District hosts their biggest event of the year, Fall Farm Fest. On October 10th and 11th the historic Knoop homestead at the Reserve will be transformed into a hub of activity. General admission is free but there are charges for some activities.
