Looking for fun and unique locations to host your next meeting? Miami County has you covered. Learn about these new and trendy spots that would be perfect and meet all of your needs.
“The Alley” in Tipp City
All things come from a simple, small idea or observation. When Nick Hoover, owner of Coldwater Cafe in Tipp City, mentioned how it would be nice to offer seating in the alleyway between the restaurant and the Tipp City Public Library, the collaboration between the two was underway.
From that observation blossomed “The Alley,” a 2,000-square-foot patio used for the purpose of dining during lunch and dinner hours at Coldwater Cafe and used for book clubs, private parties and meeting spaces after hours. “This is a unique space to meet with small and large groups,” said library director Lisa Santucci.
“The Alley” offers a trendy, modern and comfortable space for diners as well as groups or organizations interested in using the space after hours.
In addition to “The Alley,” Coldwater Cafe offers an inside meeting space option upstairs called The Upper Plate. This space offers large windows overlooking dowtown Tipp City. This option is perfect for bridal and baby showers, work meetings, holiday parties, etc.
Lunch @ 4 W. Main in Troy
You know that moment when you ‘Just do it’ because you’re that inspired? Well that’s what happened and is part of the story behind Lunch @ 4 W. Main.
Jessica and Karen both work and spend plenty of time in downtown Troy. And, both have an appreciation for tasty food. While there are several great options for food within walking distance, there are just some days that you don’t have time to sit down to a delectable and leisurely lunch. “I mean, we would be ‘ladies who lunch’ every day if we could, but… life,” states Jessica and Karen, Owners of Lunch.
As firm believers in business begetting more business, they often joked and dreamed of having more quick lunch/meeting options in the downtown area and wanted the walkability.
One day, a wonderful location comes available and so the planning begins. They wanted to create a space that feels pleasant and connects people. And they wanted good food, quick. Welcome to Lunch.
Lunch introduces the public to a variety of food options from food trucks and other restaurants from around the Miami Valley area.
Lunch @ 4 W. Main is a satellite kitchen/pop-up lunch spot Tuesday-Friday, 11-2. The space is available for private rental at all other times. Mondays are marketed as ‘Meeting Mondays’ – available to local businesses to host luncheons and private meetings.
