Piqua-Caldwell Historic District Celebrates National Night Out
August 6, 2024 • 6 - 8PM
200 block West Greene St. Piqua
Piqua, OH 45356
On Tuesday, August 6, you’ll find that the 200 block of West Greene Street is the place to be: National Night Out is definitely celebrated in the Piqua-Caldwell Historic District: show up between 6pm and 8 pm to be part of the fun!
Chaired by Piqua resident Joe Wilson, and staffed by members of the Piqua-Caldwell Historic District Association (PCHDA) board, the event is part of a national movement to develop closer ties among neighbors, and for neighbors to get to know the safety forces that protect the larger community. Since 1984, this event has grown into a nationwide tradition, and it’s often the first place new residents meet their neighbors.
This year’s festival includes an activities area for children 10 and under, with a bouncy house, facepainting and snacks. For adults, the fun includes food, a strolling magician and a band. A meet and greet station featuring Piqua safety forces gives all attendees a chance to meet first responders in a casual atmosphere. PCHD residents admitted free; non residents have a nominal fee at the gate: $5 for adults, $2 for children. See more on our FB page: piquacaldwellhistoricdistrict.org
