The CTA is an eight-piece band paying tribute to the great horn driven sound of Chicago Transit Authority. Originating in Cincinnati, Ohio, the band consists of some of the area’s best rock, jazz, and blues musicians. The group takes great pride in performing spot-on renditions of iconic Chicago tunes. The band’s replication and dedication to the music make CTA one of the top Chicago tribute bands performing now.
Expect to hear all the great hits including “Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?”, “Make Me Smile”, “Beginnings”, “Hard Habit To Break”, “Questions 67 & 68”, “Saturday In The Park”, “25 or 6 to 4”, “We Can Stop The Hurtin’”, “Introduction”, “Wake up Sunshine”, and many more.
Rick Auhagen does the lead vocals, Michael Oakley is on guitar, Adam Wheeler is on drums, bass guitar is Adam Scovanner, keys are Larry Feldner, Zach Grainger plays trombone, Erich Lechliter the trumpet and Dwayne Irvin plays saxophone and flute.
Concerts are free to the public thanks to a generous grant from the Troy Foundation and the citizens of Troy. Come early and enjoy one of Troy’s downtown restaurants.
