If you’ve ever wished you could taste Ohio’s signature candy while exploring charming small towns and supporting local makers, we’ve got just the trail for you: the Ohio Buckeye Candy Trail. Discover the Sweet Side of Ohio! Created in collaboration with the Miami County Visitors & Convention Bureau and Tourism Ohio, this delicious journey showcases the best buckeye candies from top Ohio candy makers.

Why is this trail so special? Buckeyes, the peanut butter and chocolate treats named after Ohio’s state tree, are a beloved tradition across our state. The trail offers a curated list of artisan chocolatiers and candy shops where you can sample and grab these goodies.

As you plan your visit, keep this in mind:

  • The trail highlights many fine Ohio‑based candy makers from historic spots to creative boutique shops.

  • While you’re in the region, add in a stop or two in Miami County or nearby Ohio communities to soak in local charm, hospitality, and extra treats.

  • Bring some of those buckeye sweets home for the big viewing party tied to the next BIG GAME!  (more on that below!)
