Tipp City Library Goes to the Movies: Ready Player One

Monday, May 4th, 6-8pm, Ready Player One (2018) – Join the Tipp City Public Library as we celebrate America250 by participating in Ohio Goes to the Movies – a statewide celebration of movies showcasing Ohio’s actors, directors, writers, composers, locations, and topics, shown in cities and towns across the state. Tipp City Public Library will be showing the film Ready Player One (2018) . Ready Player One: In 2045 the planet is on the brink of chaos and collapse, but people find salvation in the OASIS: an expansive virtual reality universe created by eccentric James Halliday. When Halliday dies, he promises his immense fortune to the first person to discover a digital Easter egg that’s hidden somewhere in the OASIS. When young Wade Watts joins the contest, he finds himself becoming an unlikely hero in a reality-bending treasure hunt through a fantastical world of mystery, discovery and danger. Popcorn and water will be available for patrons during the movie. Ohio Connection:This film’s director (Steven Spielberg) is from Cincinnati, Ohio This program is funded by a grant from the Miami County’s Visitor Bureau.
