Celebrate America’s 250th & Lights Up the Night at Pleasant Hill!

Get ready to paint the town red, white, and blue! This year, we are celebrating a massive milestone—America’s Semiquincentennial (250th anniversary)—and Pleasant Hill is throwing an unforgettable celebration to mark the occasion.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, June 27th, and head over to Pleasant Hill Community Park for a jam-packed day of family fun, community spirit, and spectacular fireworks.

Here is everything you need to know about the 2026 Lights Up the Night entertainment schedule!

📅 Event Schedule: Saturday, June 27th

🚒 4:00 PM – The Grand Parade

Kick off the festivities with our community parade!

• Lineup begins at 3:00 PM at the Pleasant Hill Fire Dept.

🏎️ 4:00 PM – 11:00 PM – Car Show

Calling all gearheads and classic car lovers! Check out some stunning rides sponsored by KOI Auto Parts.

• Awards Ceremony: 7:00 PM

🍔 After the Parade – Festival Grounds Open!

Once the parade wraps up, the park comes alive! Bring an appetite and the whole family for an evening of non-stop entertainment:

• Food Trucks & Great Vendors: Grab a bite from local favorites and shop around.

• Live Music: Keep the vibe high all evening long.

• Kids’ Zone: Bouncy houses (including a Princess house for smaller children and an obstacle course for older kids) and face painting hosted by the Girl Scouts.

• Games: Test your skills at 9 Square (at the Barn) or try your luck at Plinko, the Fish Bowl, Baseball, and Ring Toss (hosted by the Newton Cheerleaders).

🎲 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM & 7:30 PM – ? – Bingo

Feeling lucky? Head over to the shelter house for rounds of Bingo.

👶 6:30 PM – Diaper Derby & Kids Run

Cheer on the littlest athletes in the community during these adorable, high-energy races!

🎆 After Dark – FIREWORKS!

The grand finale you won’t want to miss! Grab your lawn chairs and blankets, find a cozy spot on the grass, and look to the sky for a dazzling, patriotic fireworks display to cap off America’s 250th celebration.
