A special place for historical information in Troy.

This large collection consisting of the combined materials of the Troy-Miami County Public Library and the Troy Historical Society offers the researcher a vast number of resources for their historical or genealogical research.  County birth and death records from 1867 to December 1908, marriage records from 1807-1968, Deeds, county maps, city and county directories, newspapers, published county histories, over 1,700 family genealogies and many other resources are available at this location.

Conveniently located in Troy’s Downtown Historic District just across the street from the Miami County Safety Building and three blocks from the Miami County Health Department (Birth and Death Records post 1908) the Local History Library affords the researcher with an almost endless supply of resources.  The Local History Library also offers free online access to Ancestry.com Library Edition and Heritage Quest resources.
