Crossed Square 2

5255 Washington Rd   |  Piqua, Ohio

The family selected this pattern in honor of Frances M. Hiegel, the mother of the owner, for all her hard work and dedication to the Hiegel family farms. The barn is a tobacco barn with a rock filled floor. In 1930, the barn was moved 600 feet north, and a concrete floor was poured over the original rock floor. In 1940, the Hiegel family purchased the farm. The barn is used to store hay, fertilizer, soybeans and general storage. It has also been used for family gatherings in the warm months.

Located South of Piqua. From Piqua, take County Rd. 25A South to Farrington Road, turn right (West) and continue to N. Washington Rd., turn right (North), continuing for approximately ¾ of a mile. (You will pass Bausman Rd.). Owners recommend using the south driveway because Washington Rd. tends to be very busy at times.

From Troy – take 25A North to Farrington Rd. (you will pass under I-75), turn left (West) and continue as described as above. If traveling I-75 from either direction, take Exit #78 and turn left (North) to Farrington Rd. Turn left and follow previous directions.
