National Travel and Tourism Week! #SpiritOfTravel

May 1, 2020

Join us in celebrating the #SpiritOfTravel May 3-9 for National Travel and Tourism Week.

COVID-19 is having an unbelievable impact on the travel industry and the entire economy. Now more than ever, the travel and tourism community must come together, support each other and remind our country that even through the most difficult times, the Spirit of Travel cannot be broken. National Travel and Tourism Week is an annual tradition for the U.S. travel community to celebrate the value travel holds for our economy, business and personal wellbeing. This year’s National Travel and Tourism Week will center around keeping the #SpiritofTravel alive in our minds and in our hearts, so we can remember all the memories we have made or new ones we will create through travel in the future.

Miami County is no stranger to a vibrant travel economy. From our historic downtowns with local shops and eateries, unique attractions with so much history to share, outdoor recreation opportunities for any adventurer and a vast variety of fun, exciting events to peak all interests, there really is something for everyone. All these experiences, no matter how big or how small, are the backbone of our community, keep us connected to our family and friends and shape memories that last a lifetime.

When the time is right, the travel and tourism industry will be integral to our nation’s recovery—for the economy and American jobs. But it is the spirit of travel and the pride for our communities that will heal our morale. Throughout the next week, the Miami County Visitors Bureau will flood social media with images and experiences that celebrate the #SpiritOfTravel in each of our communities. Join us by posting your own travel memories and dreams during this time.
