DESCRIPTION:Troy-Hayner Cultural Center to Host 50th Anniversary Golden Jubilee Ball \nTROY\, Ohio — The Troy-Hayner Cultural Center will celebrate a major milestone in 2026 with a 50th Anniversary Ball\, an elegant evening honoring fifty years of arts\, culture\, and community in Troy. \nThe event will take place on Saturday\, May 2\, 2026\, from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. at the Troy-Hayner Cultural Center. Reservations for the event are $75 per person and include two drink tickets. Space is limited\, and advance reservations are required. \nGuests will enjoy live music by Heather and the Swing Set\, along with a selection of heavy hors d’oeuvres and beverages\, including a signature cocktail created for the occasion using a special batch of Hayner Distillery whiskey. Throughout the evening\, guests will also experience art in action as an artist creates a live painting of Heather and the Swing Set performing in the Ballroom. \nAdditional music will be featured throughout the mansion during the evening. DESCRIPTION:A ceremonial tree planting will take root in the Miami County Courthouse Plaza as part of the Heritage Trees: Planting History program under America 250-Ohio\, the official state commission responsible for spearheading Ohio’s celebrations and commemorations around America’s semiquincentennial in 2026. \nThroughout 2025 and 2026\, Heritage Trees will be planted in all 88 of Ohio’s counties. In Miami County the tree will be planted by the Miami County Courthouse Plaza on April 24\, 2026 at 1:00 p.m.. The Courthouse was chosen as the site for the Heritage Tree because the Courthouse has been a symbol of history\, justice and longevity in the community. \nThe Heritage Trees initiative draws inspiration from the historic Liberty Tree in Boston during the Revolutionary War period. The Heritage Trees program aims to commemorate America’s 250th Anniversary by planting native-to-Ohio oak trees across the state. Throughout 2025 and 2026\, America 250-Ohio will offer each Ohio county an oak tree in honor of America’s 250th birthday. \nThe Heritage Trees program is made possible by Presenting Sponsor Cenovus Energy. The program was created in partnership with Dawes Arboretum\, Cox Arboretum MetroPark\, Holden Forests & Gardens\, Keep Ohio Beautiful\, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources\, Rowe Arboretum\, and Secrest Arboretum. \nAbout America 250-Ohio  \nIn 2026\, the United States will celebrate its semiquincentennial\, which is the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. DESCRIPTION:If you enjoy running or hiking on woodland trails\, you’ll love BNC’s 5K Run Wild for Wildlife! This 5K run/walk starts and finishes at the parking lot and winds through the woods along wildflower studded trails. Steep hills and rough terrain is involved but you can handle it!  Bring a friend\, but leave Fido at home\, pets are not allowed at BNC – they scare our wildlife! (Pre-registration event only) \nEntry fees include an eco-friendly bag of goodies\, plus the opportunity to add on a cool race T-shirt (design is in the works)!  All proceeds from this fundraiser support our wildlife program.  Did you know that we are home to over 50 Wildlife Ambassadors?  These native Ohio species are no longer able to survive in the wild and are the stars of every one of our programs and fundraisers!  Be sure to check them out after the event.
